SickKids Foundation Fundraiser
In the summer of 2020, I drew this portrait of Harry Styles as a birthday gift for my cousin (and Harry’s biggest fan), Rebecca.
At the time, she was a patient at SickKids Hospital in Toronto, and I knew I wanted to do something more meaningful for her—so I decided to set up a fundraiser through Instagram to raise money for the SickKids Foundation.
It was my first time making and selling prints, as well as planning and running a fundraiser. Doing this was a massive learning experience for me, but in the end, it totally exceeded my expectations!
In one month, I was able to raise $1250 and donated it all to the SickKids Foundation to help them continue on their mission to fight for kids’ health!
Thanks for always inspiring me, Rebecca ♡
Here’s some closeups that have a better look at the details!
These gifs in addition to a bunch of Instagram stories over the month of July were how I marketed this fundraiser!
To close out the campaign, I ended up drawing a portrait of Rebecca’s puppy, Gracie, to thank all of my generous donors that helped me the raise the $1250 that I had the privilege to give to the SickKids Foundation in honour of Rebecca!
As a bonus, here’s a pic of my beautiful angel Rebecca with not one, but TWO Harrys on her 16th birthday!
